Out doing some trail riding and start hearing a clunking up front. Stopped immediately and see a torn boot, look a little deeper and ball bearings are falling out. Broken front axle, fortunately able to get back to the trailer. I'm thinking it got hurt when I snapped a tie rod end previously but I didn't see a torn boot or notice anything else when i inspected for the tie rod end, but oh well. Now the task at hand is replacing the front CV axle ? Or does anyone know if you can just replace the hub bearing to the shaft ? Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Don't know about rebuilding the axel,we just replace the whole axel. Haven't had to do one on the CF but done a few on other brands. It's not that bad of a job. We just put s hi lifter kit on a Polaris tonight and changed the axels. Buzzard im in Chesapeake close to va beach.

Yeah I don't fool with rebuilding them either. Something about putting old parts with new just doesn't work out as well as just replacing the complete unit with a new one. I think SATV has Rhinos for the EX so either they might fit the 1000 or they have them for the 1000.

Having trouble finding an after market front axle for my 2018 z force 1000, does anyone know if the 2017 800 will work ? Hate to go back stock. Thanks

Just look up the part numbers for both and if they match, you have your answer. :)

I tried to do some homework for you. I called rhino, super ATVs,and sidebysidestuff.com. Nobody knows if there is a difference from 17-18 on the 1000s. All they have is up to 17. Good luck.

I looked up the part numbers and although there is one part the same, the rest is different between the 2017 800EX and the 2018 1000. So, I'm going to say there is a difference. But the OEs are only $271.00 so.. not too bad.

Thanks men, that's what I love about our community, everyone pulling together for the brand and sport we enjoy so much. I actually just found a part specific to my 2018 z force 1000 made by demon. 20% larger diameter axel, 15% thicker bearing cage for $75.00 cheaper than stock ! Got one on the way, thanks again !

Good job. Is that direct from Demon or a third party?

Isn't the axle covered by warranty?

Wow. I called SxS and they told me they didn't have a # for yours and didn't know if 17-18 were different. I guess it depends on who you talk too. Is it a different # for the 18s?

They said the 2014 to 2016 z 800 also fits the 2018-2019 z force 1000 They actually advertise that on their website. I sure am hoping they are correct. www.sidebysidestuff.com/demon-heavy-duty-stock-length-axles-cf-moto-zforce.html
