Well happy New Years guys I have a quick question hopefully someone can help me out well my issue is that my shifter is not locking in gear I can move it freely up and all the way down thur gears without haveing to press the button? I don't know if I broke something or if I need to take it in to the dealership? It works fine if I put it in R or H or L no issues just don't lock ? Any ideas??!?

Hi the gear knob sounds like it's to tight on the shaft in turn making the lock mechanism stay down hence it won't lock , under the gear knob is a nut , you need to undo it then turn gear knob anti clockwise , till the lock works again then nip up the nut

Agreed. It also may be stuck down or may have broken the pin off. First try what devaldaz says and shoot some WD down in there. I have had mine all apart so..feel free to bring it over one day and we will dig into it...hopefully a warm day...lol.

Ok thank you guys I found the problem. The shaft was bent a little to the right so I bent it back stright and clicked up and down locked perfect lol I must of hit it of something I don't know thanks again for the advise.
