With it being a new machine, don’t forget to check all the bolts you can get a wrench 🔧 on. They are known to be loss from the assembly line.
Yes, I got out my N.m torque wrench and touched just about everything there is. Not one was loose.
I noted that from the factory there are two paint pen marks, one white, one blue on every single, and important nut, bolt, screw, and even hose clamps.
I'm wondering if they got sensitive to having warranty issues relating to "looseness" in general, and initiated a redundant inspection program?
Had noticed in the past that my BMW, and KTM motorcycles had received the same treatment.
So far, my issues with the machine are,
the cooter air intake set-up pulling dirty air from the same area where hot engine air, and dust is located.
I believe somebody in here called it, "embarrassing". I agree!
Hap-hazard application of heat shield to the liner surrounding the cowling that sets over the parking brake and up behind the seats.
No sort of effective sealing boot around the steering and peddle assemblies.
Giant holes at the base of the seat belt retractors so this way they get inundated with massive dust, or mud, or water,
and few other minor items. This way, their ease of operation shouldn't but a season, maybe? (I ordered harnesses)
Nonetheless, the literally thousands of dollars I saved over a (wait 4 months, or special order) Can-am or other brand for something I'll use a few hundred miles a year I think I'll remain pretty happy.
