Gas pedal throw set screw....
« on: April 05, 2016, 06:36:26 PM »
Since I picked up my 2016 ZForce EX800 EPS about three or four weeks ago I've got a hundred miles on it. Since day one I can truly say I haven't been pleased with the performance. I rode with a good friend who has a RZR 800 S. We ran on blacktop up a good grade and he caught me with ease and could have smoked past me. Needless to say, I was thinking to myself 'what did I get myself into by buying this piece?!?!'. Well I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what the issue could be. I'm very mechanically inclined. So anyway, today on a ride I checked the RPM, it would NEVER go past 5800!! I was then thinking it was clutching until I took a look under the steering column to see if by chance there was a set screw limiting the throw on the throttle. SURE ENOUGH, LOW AND BEHOLD!!!! So what I'm getting at, might want to check your buggies as well. That RZR doesn't have a chance now :-)

Yeah I had to adjust mine too. Be carful it doesn't overrun the throttle body. It can damage the linkage and butterfly shaft. Leave a hair of play for body flex too. Also you clock that clutch correctly and its a complete new machine. No 800 stands a chance
