I realize it's been colder now and things can freeze and it's been gone down to about -12 degrees here a couple times at night. I took the zforce 800 and moved it to the back of the house. Went to go put it back in the garage and the gas pedal won't go down to I can give it gas and move it. It will start up just fine but it feels like the linkage is froze. It hasn't been ridden in a few months but also hasn't been washed since the last ride due to the cold weather. Has anyone experienced this? did something break or come loose? the pedal will move slightly but not enough to give it any gas. Put a heater on for about an hour and still can't move it. Any ideas?

Any moisture in the cable can stay a very long time and that's what freezes 99.9% of the time. The lowest point on the cable, where water is most likely to collect is where it goes across the floorboard. Try to run heat between the skid plate and the floors board or down through the center cover plastics for a while. One thing I recommend doing every fall is take one end of the cable loose and flush it with a simple cable luber like this one. Pretty much ends all those issues and makes the cable last a very long time. I do it from the TB end cause cause all that junk comes out the other end. I just put a few rags under the peddle to catch it, then wipe up what's needed. A little messy...but worth it.
