Thanks for sharing your experience! I did send Stephan a picture and asked him if he could match the orange color/graphics and he said "yes" (prior to the order). It sounds like Rodin is the best guy for doors hands down, and I wish I had found him via this forum prior to placing an order with scap doors! Stephan has had my money since June 11th so I am disputing the transaction with PayPal because he is unwilling to send a prepaid shipping label to send them back and give me a refund! 

OMFG!! Paypal ruled in Scap Doors / Stephan's favor??? I have already escalated it 3 times and have a final decision " The functionality of the doors is not affected by the color and graphics being wrong to match the vehicle" Lesson to be learned: Paypal constantly promotes itself as having "buyer's protection" so that "You can feel safe and secure purchasing online" when in fact they will not do ANYTHING if in fact you ever need their "Buyer's protection". Now I have to pay an additional $300+( I paid $650 to Scap Doors) to have custom graphics designed and produced, remove the wrong decals and apply the correct ones!! AVOID SCAP DOORS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!

Paypal is a joke. If you paid by CC thru PP you may have a chance, I resolved one non related dispute that way.

I just dealt with an internet only company for a non related major purchase $3200.00. The internet only company would not communicate other than email. I filed a dispute with MC using the email string with the internet only company.....I know have a $3200.00 credit on my MC

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately I used PayPal credit to get 6 months @ 0%....I am considering paying off the account except the $650 and closing the account to let them lose the money. It will hurt my credit score but I am pretty pissed off that they screwed me over on this issue that was clearly 110% Stephan's fault. I asked the manager if his doors were stolen off of his black car, and he paid for replacements would he accept yellow doors that were sent to him by mistake....he paused for a few seconds and said "no, but our policy is only to cover an item for functionality and not for aesthetics" PayPal just lost all of my business moving forward and I may still make them eat the $650! Lol

This will be my final update on this nightmare of dealing with Scap doors ....I found a place in Tumwater, WA called Fusion Graphix that specializes in decals and wraps for motorcross/ATV and UTV's. Since they are specialized in custom graphics for offroad vehicles they have two major points that made me decide to go with them:

1) They can produce/print vinyl and have a process for applying a more durable protective layer(clear coat) over the graphics printed on the vinyl

2) They are well versed in applying vinyl to HDPE plastic(Scap doors uses HDPE panels that can NOT be painted because nothing adheres to it very well) using special adhesion promoting primer for the vinyl(Most MX fenders are HDPE because it is flexible and hard to break or crack)

The incorrect graphics that Stephan applied to the panels were not adhering well because he did NOT use adhesion promoter(example: Every time you grabbed the handle release for the door, the vinyl would get peeled away from the panel, if you were not careful about dragging your hand along the panel as you pulled the handle) Fusion Graphics fixed this by using adhesion promoter primer AND wrapping the vinyl over the edge of the door panel so that it becomes sandwiched between the panel and door frame! Probelm solved!!

The cost to have them cover the door panels was $300(uggh!) for a solid color with no graphics... I opted to try to "turn lemons into lemonade" and have them do graphics on the panels to create a themed aesthetic for my machine $480(yikes!) and added some extra stuff to other parts of the machine bringing the total to $870(OWCH!) but it turned out AWESOME! So....In summary buying from scap doors was a HUGE mistake on my part BUT Fusion Graphix turned an awful situation into something I am proud to own!!

I decided to create a "Shere Khan" theme(If you have seen the jungle book 2016 you will know why! He was BADASS!!) Notice the doors are different AND that the headlights have been wrapped to make it look like my ride has a bad left eye (with scars around it) AND the hood also matches with scaring and the bad left eye! lol

Sorry to hear of you problems. I had scap doors for 3years and am very ok with them. I ordered them with red decals and they are still in great condition. Stephan has always been ok supporting his product if the original was not tampered with. Did you remove the decals?

I am happy to hear that you had a good experience with him....I did NOT!! Yes... I had to remove the decals and clean the surfaces to reduce the cost of applying the new ones, which you can see in the pictures from my previous post. If you read the thread then you know why I am pissed off about the delays with shipping, lying about when it was shipped, and then sending me a set with the wrong decals(both color AND design AFTER telling me that he had the correct color and graphics for my machine) and then refusing to take them back as a return, and telling me to try to get my money back from filing a complaint with Paypal! One of the worst experiences I have ever had with any company!

I had a similar encounter with my buddy Steph! Placed order. Took forever. Finally arrived. Quality and fit and finish was garbage. Nothing in the latches was as described. I tried calling...he went dark on me. Disputed the charge and got a refund. Still running the "free" doors until they fall off.
