Fuel in snorkel vent tube
« on: November 21, 2023, 09:21:03 PM »
I have a 2022 cforce 600 that starts to push fuel out of my vent tube after a few hours of riding I also notice when I unscrew the fuel cap it hisses as if releasing pressure . It is snorkeled and I’ve been told to delete the evap system but I’ve checked behind the right headlight and I’m pretty sure I don’t have the evap system. Unless it is somewhere else on this model?

The only vent tube I know of that can have fuel escape from is the fuel tank vent...and it has a check valve on it that is shut to prevent fuel and fumes from escaping and opens to allow air in as the pump removes fuel so vacuum won't happen. However on ones with the evap system that is modified to be used as a return from the evap "can". How it actually works is something I am not interested in knowing but there have been lots of issues with the CFM evap system. And as I review all the US models of the 2022 CForce 600 do have this evap system. From what I know all that have not been deleted from machines that go in deep mud and/or water have had problems..some catastrophic such as engine destruction from mud ingestion through the related EGR system. So you should have it...and you better get rid of it.

So then where would my evap system be located? I have been told to look behind the right headlight and I have removed all the plastics in the wheel wells and checked and there is nothing in that area. When I ran my snorkel my fuel vent tube was just ran into the frame, from what I have seen is that if evap is present the fuel line vent will run to the canister which leads me to believe it never had evap or it was removed before i purchased it at the dealer.

Sadly it is not, I have seen these videos and checked on mine and there is nothing in this location.
