Yeah i wasnt directing that comment at anyone.  Im just saying in general that there are A LOT of people that have expensive coolers for no real purpose.  I gave my sister a hard time over buying a Yeti can coozie thing for $40.  I went through the math with her and explained how a can of coke cost ~.35 so you can buy 100 cans of coke for what it cost for the thing to keep it cold just a little bit longer.  And how often does it get warm before you finish it?  So lets say you only get to drink half of it before it get warm and you dont want to drink it any more.  that means you could buy 200 cans of coke just for the price of thing to keep it cold let alone its not like the $40 yeti coozie thing is made of unlimited free coke.  You still have to buy what you put in there.

LOL Now you guys got me going on that again LOL

I have a Yeti Tundra 45, brother has a Yeti Tundra 65, buddy has a 35, and the list goes on.  We all really like ours and they do their job incredibly well, but yes they're expensive as hell.

I've had mine for over two years and it's taken a beating in the bed of my ZForce/RZR/Truck, beach vacations, camping trips, and parties.  The ice rentention is great for riding trips (exhaust and engine heat will significantly reduce it to about 2.5 days unless you use dry ice along with normal ice), but for me the real value is the durability.  I basically was buying a $50-$80 cooler every year because the lids were breaking on them from sitting and standing on them.  I've used my Yeti as a jack stand on the trail when the tire pops off a bead.

If RTIC had been around a couple of years ago I'd have spent $175 instead of $350 because they seem identical aside from the branding to me.

So in the end i picked up a Maxcold cooler made by Igloo it has tie downs a latching lid.  And it held ice in 95 ish degree heat for 4 days plus about 6 hrs. Not bad for 59.99 I am going to put a piece of insulating board between the cooler and the bed of the sxs and see how it does on the trails in Wisconsin in a couple weeks. I went to Tennessee in June and the cooler I had there only held ice for 1 day it was a pain to drain it and refill it every day plus I then had to wait in the morning for the general store to open up instead of taking off right after breakfast.

I have one of those coolers that you plug into your cigarette lighter and it keeps it cool  Its just not very big.  Also you can reverse the plug and it will heat.  its nice for some things but its not perfect.

I also had one of the plug in iceless coolers. Filled it full of cheese. It was great until I discovered I had it plugged in the wrong way. Hot cheese. That was an expensive mistake.
