Thanks everybody appreciate it. I just want to help prevent any fuel issues. I've had issues with a new snowblower due to ethanol.

In fairness mine has always been run with ethanol fuels with no issues...yet. :)

I always run ethanol free in my small engines. stays fresh longer and seems to be easier on rubber parts.
In my area (northern NY) you can only get ethanol free 90 or 91 octane, so that works out good for my 600 Touring anyways!

I run non-ethanol in my smaller engines, and absolutely in anything that is only used seasonally (weed eater, push mower, leaf blower, chainsaw).  I run ethanol in all of my toys since I ride them year round.  I think the danger is in them sitting unused for longer periods of time.  That's just my 2 cents.

Ethanol Free fuel is hard to find here. But, I do use it in my sleds when I trailer them to where I want to ride and they have it there.

For my seasonal usage small engine machines (now just my snow thrower as I have switched to battery powered for most everything else) I  use Tru Fuel. Yes, it is more expensive and not worthwhile to run in a SxS but I barely go through a gallon in my beast of a snowthrower.

I do use a fuel stabilizer though since it may be weeks between rides as the season progresses. Hopefully not, but, just in case...
Wow, these things are FUN!!!

CFMOTO 2021 manual page 24,  89 Octane minimum unleaded.
Ethanol is bad on small engine fuel systems, especially if it sits in there for a time.
My industry experience with small marine engines including outboards is that it causes hotter operating temperatures, erratic running, and engine-part failure because of the corrosive effect on aluminum parts in the fuel system. It is also tough on plastic and rubber parts. The ethanol tends to settle out of the gas, and then becomes hygroscopic, "scavenges moisture", buttony to a point. Once it is saturated, Then the water and saturated ethanol drops the bottom of the tank. This also clogs up the tiny offices found in small carburetors, injectors and throttle bodies.
You can typically buy non-ethanol Fuel at CENEX, and also at just about every marina if you so happen to live by one who sells gas.

In my humble opinion, I would not sure my machine with ethanol blend in it, at least not without a proven additive like "Quickshot" by AMSOIL. Also Sta-Bil sells "Sta-Bil Storage"

Just going to throw-in that all our fuels are ethanal blended and that mine has never has any non-ethanal fuel sense new. It sometimes sits for months in the winter and so far..knock on wood..no issues however after reading Boatfixx's post I better check or change the filter. Can't say the same for other small engines though. Forgot to drain the fuel from my yard vac and mower for the season once and paid the price.

Just got back from fueling the truck and Z. Boy has prices gone up! And the best octane went down to 90 to boot. Good thing it's still cool in the mountains.

I think that these newer engines like on the CFM's, they build them taking into consideration the ethanol thing.
That stated, I'd still use a additive specifically formulated to address ethanol issues.
