I just bought my CFMOTO in April and the date stamped is 08/2015.  My dealer sold it to me as a 2016 is this correct or did I pay for last years left over??

What color are the seats?  All black=2015, red/white/black=2016.  I know there are a few more changes but that's the easiest way to spot the 2016 right off.
Hope it works out and enjoy your new rideable!

Just wanted to make sure.  I did not know that they were like cars.  Now I know.  Thanks

Please dont spread false information. Seat color does NOT mean a thing with model year. I have a 2015 ZForce 800 Trail with Red/Black seats.

Model year changes around July/August. Your dealer does not have the ability to change the model year as they see fit. They 10th digit of your VIN tells you what you need to know. F= 2015, G=2016.

Thanks.  FYI  The dealer that I bought mine from, I would not be surprised if he would try something like this for all the BS I have been going through with this machine.  I only have 125 miles on it now and it acts like there is 125,000 miles on it.  My dealer does not know that much about these machines and it shows.  I will probably not buy another one just like I will not buy another Polaris because of a bad experience there.  The best machine I still own is a kawasaki and that is what I probably should have stuck with!!

This site has been way more helpful that my dealer.  So that is why I asked questions here.  I am very happy for this forum!

If its acting sluggish, have you check oil level? Air Filter? Drive belt?

These things have a terrible air box, and fill with debris very quickly depending on your driving conditions. I've had three go down, including my personal one, due to the poor airbox design that allowed dirt into the motor and literally destroyed it.

My apologies @Struens I never meant to steer you in the wrong direction.  I should have prefaced my comment with "this is not factual information this is only my first hand experience with those model units".  But once again the great and powerful OZ has come forth with the truth and set us all down the correct path.

Hope you get your issues resolved because it's a good machine for the money just needs a little TLC at first it seems.
Safe travels.

Thank for all the info and the apology.  It is not acting sluggish just keeps breaking stuff.  Also I put a uni air filter on it a while ago.
