Custom roll cage

Hey Guy's, finally got my roll cage finished, been working on it for about a month now.
Built the main cage out of 1 3/4 DOM tubing .120 wall thickness and the cross tubing and
bracing out of .090 tubing to help save weight. The back bones and main cage are
all one piece. Also the roof came from EMP..
Got a few pics, what you think.

Hey GF, Thanks it sure changes the way it looks, also when I fab. the cage
I lowered it 8 inches.

My roof is hitting things all the time. 8" shorter would be great for me. No way mine would turn out that nice.

Yeah that's me too. I think I'll just cut mine down but I need a decent DC Mig welder first. My old stickwelder won't cut it.

Hey acid & cos. I used a simple hyd. tubing bender from harbor freight.
And ordered the roof for a 1000 razer, mainly coz. I liked the way it had the little kick
In the rear of it.
Cos. if you can run a mill you can sure bend some tubing.

Bending, yes, with a bit of it heading to the scrap Yard. All I have right now is a Flux core welder and it leaves it ugly for sure. I will try to put up with mine for now as I really need to get after my project backlog.

I'm trying just now to build a custom roll cage for my z1000 and ordered the JD manual bender (nothing I tried works).
I also purchased 1-3/4, 0.120 tubing but I have a question for you: How did you mount the roll cage on the chassis? As far as I know, the original tubing is approx 1-5/8 and 0.60 and the roll cage mounts fit these dimensions.
Did you replaced the roll cage mounts? Or just adjusted them?

Hey cosminion, sorry for the late reply, I used the weld in bungs from super atv, they are
a perfect fit for the bolt pattern.
