CF Moto Round one race results

For those of you who are not on Facebook I will put it up here also.  We are racing my 2014 Z Force 800ex this year.  Our main series is the MWXC series but we will also throw in a GNCC event at the end of the year and possibly more depending on timing.  This last weekend we had our first round of racing and I am pleased to say that we placed second.  We ran well and had the second fastest lap time in our class (the guy with the fastest lap time ended up second to last).  We were up against 8 other RZR 800's one of them even being a turbo on alcohol.  No broken parts at all but my shocks quickly faded once we got to lap 3 and by lap 4 there was nothing there to dampen anything.  At that point the belly armor was being used as a suspension component LOL.  We would have had first but the track got VERY bad VERY quickly and mud and ruts because a major problem.  2 of our 4 laps we ended up getting stuck at different places and that cost us 5 min on each lap.  Our total time behind the leader was only 2:26 so if we could have avoided just one of those we would have been in the lead by quite a bit.  We race in another 3 weeks and I will get update you guys then.  Until that time here is a couple pictures some people snapped for us.  You can see how covered the SxS was in mud.  I had a local suspension tech tell me that he was positive that we had at least 175lbs of mud on or in the SxS.  If you are on Facebook and would like more updates than I get a chance to post here come on over and check out and follow and like our page.  I cant promise we will always win but we will give it all we got trying to do so and if nothing else it will be entertaining.

I can imagine a world completely at peace.  A world where there are no weapons, no war, and no violence at all.  And I can imagine us taking over that world because they would never expect it.

Did you try using any type of coating on the machine to keep the mud from sticking? There are a bunch of products for it. Some use WD 40, pam cooking spray, mudd off, anything with Teflon should help. Read some guy wraps his fenders in panty hose lol.

Awesome !! Thanks a lot for the update, as I was hoping to hear good things from you (still avoiding Facebook here). Those Elkas will make a world of difference if that's the route you choose to go. Best of luck in the next round ... I'm seeing a 1st place in your near future.

Quick update on my thoughts for the rig.  Im working on getting some shocks secured but I will have to go the next round with stockers again.  I have reached out to a major braking company to see about retrofitting a new master cylinder of theirs to help with the less than stellar brakes we all know about on the CF Moto.  I figure due to the brakes I likely lost 20 seconds per lap due to having to start my braking early.  I figure I lost about 15-20 sec per lap due to the shocks also.  You add those together and you start seeing big number improvements in lap times (not that we were far off to begin with).  All in all Im very happy with our first outing but I would also like to make some improvements where I know we can.
