Anyone else find the display too bright at night?

I definitely do.  I can hardly drive it at night because of the glare coming off that display, even at its lowest setting.  Always had to hold my head just right so that my helmet blocked it, which was a PITA.  I decided to do something about it today, by tinting it with 20% tint.  It turned out great and hopefully it helps at night.  It definitely takes the sharp glare off, and when the display is off it looks almost completely black.  I tested 2 layers of tint with a piece of clear plastic cut to the same size and I think it'd be perfect at night, but it does make it hard to see it during the day.  I still have the test piece although I peeled the 2 layers and did a single layer, so if it's still bright while driving at night I'll experiment some more.

That's an awesome idea, plus there is so many shades of tint and like you said you can experiment with stacking layers or different percentages of shade. I like it alot 8)

I second this greatly,  I had to have the wife hold my ball cap over the display so I can see, it was such a strain in the eyes, I know I commented before but now experiencing it for myself I strongly agree

The only way I notice a difference is when I go from low beam to high beam, but it is a very faint difference I think due to the draw in the circuit, I have no buttons or any way physically or visibly on the dash to make a difference

Yeah, found that earlier. Looked ate the 2017-18 manual and found it didn't have any adjustment but the 2019s do.

Yes, I can adjust it from 1-5 brightness, but it was still way too bright for me even at its lowest setting.  It's a lot better now with a layer of 20% on it.  I'd like to go darker actually but it would be too hard to see during the day at the highest setting.  The tint takes the glare away a bit at least.

Looks like some late 2018s are adjustable too.
