After the first inspection I had after a few days Oil in the airbox.......Checked everything; there was nothing wrong.
Until I checked the bill of the first service........there was 3,5 liter Oil filled in. I checked it with the manual and it was overfilled.
The X8, U8 and Z8 habe the same engine, but different Oil numbers. Source: the service manuals. Check it out:
X8: Oil change with filter replacement 3500 ml.
U8: Oil change with filter replacement 3100 ml.
Z8: Oil change with filter replacement 2900 ml.
My dealer has more X8 customers than U8; or even Z8; so the mistake was easily made. Same Brand; same 800 engine.......
I think there are more out there who (can/ made) the same mistake. So:
WARNING: Use always the correct service manual while servicing.
