After market wheels and tires.
« on: April 27, 2017, 09:38:25 PM »
I'm starting to look into some replacement wheels and tires. I want something a little taller but not so tall I need to reclutch.
Any thoughts on what size? Brand? Who to buy from? What about wheels? Size, offset?
Looking for an all around good dirt tire

GBC dirt commanders are pretty awesome.  They sell them in 27" you can get away with not reclutching.. But honestly it doesn't take much to clock the secondary and the improvement is so drastic you really should clock it anyway C1 or B2. You don't have to mess with the primary but if you want to that is very easy as well you will just spend $80 on a set of dr pulley sliders.

Kinda like said already- these come needing clocked from the factory so any extra weight or size just increases the need. Even B2 with the stock tires isn't overkill in most cases so just plan on doing that anyway and if you trail-ride mostly, 27s at a good size and won't have any negative effects on the suspension. Wheels..take your pick. All aftermarket offsets will extend out a little farther then stock but about any with the first number larger or equal to the second will work such as 5+2,5+3,4+2,4+3,4+4...ect. There are some reports of people having clearance issues with 12" wheels...and some who don't..don't understand that fully though so maybe stay with the 14" wheel. Tires...many popular UTV tires out there but try to stay with an 8-10ply rating, radials if possible, and one that had the pattern-type that fits your riding needs. I like GBC products but ITP makes some good stuff as well as other like Kenda. Oddly I found Discount tire Direct has given me the best price and service of tires then anyone else in the past.
