The brown truck came by today and left these. :) Some know I blew one front CFM shock on the last ride so..a new set of Bandit Series 46, Gen 3s are replacing them. I'll do the rears when I blow one.

I'll have a near-new set of Bandit front springs for sale soon. Like these that are 175lb rated.

Good fit. I am going to suggest to Bandit that they shorten them about 7/16" cause they are a bit long. When you have to hyper-extend the a-arm and depress the spring a little to get the bolt in, the shock is too long. They probably do it like this to the a-arm bottoms-out first before it hits the shock for those not using straps. It would help the shock live longer. Other then that it gave me another 1.5 inches of lift on the front which I had to back off the preload one turn and add one turn to the rears. It's currently .5" higher in the front but I'll so my final adjustments after the first ride when they settle in. Bandit...and Elka both want the fronts slightly higher then the rears but that's not where I like it. I like it level or about a 1/2" higher in the back.

Test ride was great. Just a slight adjustment needed and she's more confidant then ever. Worth the money.

I found that my front Elka's were 3/16 shorter than the stock shocks, which I found curious.

Interesting. I found the Bandits about 7/16" too long. I had to pry them up and compress the springs about that much to get the lower bolt in. I was going to mention it to them but I assume they did that so the a-arm with bottom-out before the shock's piston hit the end cap. They mentioned that if the end cap got broken and the user wasn't using straps it wouldn't be covered under the warranty...so it was a concern for them. Just struck me funny cause it's usually the shock the limits the a-arm travel in both directions but mot in this case.

I've been an Elka-guy most of my motorsporting life but as the Bandits feel just as good and still have rebound adjustments where Elka deleted theirs from the stage-3s...and the Bandits were several hundred cheaper per set...I think I am also a Bandit-guy now.
