A/N link shows what I believe is a new air intake pre-filter on CFMOTO Canada's accessory site , however, no details/description are included.

Probably for the one they originally had over the end of the intake tube as it shows that tube. Interesting that is says "K&N" on it...

Not to my knowledge. All CFM 800s came out as EFI engines I believe.
