2016 zforce 500 elecrical issues
« on: July 30, 2023, 07:32:11 PM »
Hi everyone. I am very confused as to where to post a question. I hope this is the correct place. I did a really stupid thing today. I put the postive from the battery on the negitive post today by mistake. I have spent hours on utube and the web searching for a possible blown fuse but all I could find was the fuse box under the steering wheel and all the fuses are good. I have no power anywhere with the key on.I replaced the starter celinoid a few weeks ago from amazon and it is not fused. Is there a fusible link that may have blown and if so, where? Thanks for any help

Reversing polarity often does not blow fuses...(sometimes it blows the main though)...rather it toasts control units like the ECUs, PS controllers, some AUX relays...circuit boards like what's in the dash pod..ect. Usually starting from the battery you will have your main system fuse, a 20 or 30 amp, then a distribution box with your smaller system fuses. If all that is OK, then you will need a wiring diagram to start the tracing process.
