Hi, first Thanks to all that replied to my first post. Since I posted that last post I've run into a new problem. I started it up this morning and things were going along ok, until I tried to turn it off. It seemed as if I was turning the key to start it? I actually had to disconnect the positive cable on the battery to stop it?? Anyone, know what electronic component may be defective? Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions you might have/ share!

I bought a new Battery and replaced both the key switch and the starter relay solenoid with CFmoto parts?? I'm now thinking I may need to replace the starter?? And Yes, it does have a kill switch on it which is referred to as a "Flame out Switch".  I even depressed that but it wouldn't turn off?? When I say it won't turn off, what I mean is that it actually cuts the engine off but then it sounds like I've turned the key to try and start it?? Very strange. I'm sure it's some defective electrical component, I just need to figure out which one.  Thanks so much for your reply!

The only way for the starter to engage is for it to get power from the solenoid...and the only way for that solenoid to close is to send power to it's coil...so...the lead to that solenoid has 12 volts when it shouldn't or..it has an internal short...or...it's wired wrong.

The main fuse for the Z6 is also attach to the harness ( 4 pins, 1 is the trigger for the relay) on the relay. Just so you know.

I hope I didn't install the new solenoid in backwards? The poles were labeled with a G and an M (if I remember correctly). It's not labeled with a + or - ?? I guess it a Chinese thing? Thanks!

I'm still not sure exactly what your ride is doing. If you don't figure it out soon, try a video to show us. Is the starter still running after you let go of the key?

While it was running, I turned the key to the off position to shut it down, at this point the motor stops running, however it now sounds as if I've turn the key back on to start it, which I did not. It sounds like the starter is simply turning over and over?? I even flipped the "Kill Switch" to the off position with no luck it just keeps turning over. It doesn't start just continues to turn over? I actually have to disconnect the positive cable to the battery to get it to stop. I'll take a short video of the actual problem later today.

So the starter is sating engaged at all times, Definitely has to be getting power from somewhwere. Take the positive off the starter and trace it back you will either come to a shorted wire or a component (relay or solenoid) if a relay or solenoid is giving power while the key is off its internally stuck, shorted.

OK sounds like an easy enough game plan for me to try.  Thanks again so very much!   

Eureka!!  It's working now! This afternoon I first started trouble shooting by removing that plastic splash guard on the bottom side of the frame. That was done so that I could follow the wires and check for any breaks etc. I didn't find anything so I decided that I would try installing another (new) solenoid that I had as a backup. One thing that I did notice is that when I went to plug in that 4-pin plug into place on the solenoid this one snapped in? Perhaps I didn't make a good connection with the first one I installed. I started it about 6 times and it shuts down as it should. I even tested the kill switch while it was running and that instantly kill the motor as it should. I'm really thinking that I just didn't have that plug seated all the way. Anyway, I'm going to test it out through the day tomorrow to make sure it holds up. I'm also going to order another new backup solenoid. Quick question; Should I re-install that plastic splash guard, is it necessary? Thanks again for all the helpful advice!! 

Not sure which shield you are talking about but there is a plastic skid plate stock, reinstall in helps to slide on rocks and not get hung up.  Any other plastic shield is likely for splash should to keep mud and water out,  reinstall those too saves electronics keeps things a little cleaner
