Picking up my first CFMoto
« on: October 18, 2018, 06:49:42 AM »
Hi All,

I'm picking up a 2018 800EPS LX tomorrow afternoon. Anything I should be looking for or be doing right away? I'm excited but also feel like I'm taking a bit of a gamble (also own Can-Am). My dealer seems decent and comes with good recommendations they have 3 locations now and are opening 2 more soon. Anyway I read things in the forums about crappy air filters that should be replaced right away things like that, any advice is appreciated.

Thanks... dt

Welcome and congrats. YES..don't drive it in any dust with the OE filter. Get the recommended Unifilter and a quality oil and cleaner first. Go through ALL suspension and component mounting bolts and check for correct torque. Add 5 to all whatever the book says..either ftlbs or inlbs to all. Check that the cotter pins are in the tie rod end castle nuts. Go through the rest of the bolts as time allows.
