Had to replace my rear master cylinder. It was straight forward putting the new master cylinder on, but it was a real pain in the ass to bleed the brakes. It took hours to bleed the brakes before they were usable. This was the worst bleeding I have ever done. I hope if any of you guys have to bleed you can get it done a lot easier then what I had. Does anyone know of a process that should be done too make is easier?

Oh it truly sucks doing it the conventional way on these. Any more I use one of these. It allows me to either pull it from the master to the bleeder or back-bleed back up to the master. And it's cheap. It also lets me test vacuum parts. There are better ones out there but this one works fine for me.

For me the first time on the Z I was doing the brakes alone so I had rigged a check valve on the end of the bleed hose so I wouldn't have to open and close the bleeder valve, just pump the brakes and add fluid...but even that...you only have about 4 at the most pumps before you need to refill the master and where the master is on the Z' firewall, four pumps wasn't enough to get air from the master to and out the caliper...so while I was refilling the master the air would naturally rise back up the line back toward the master. I needed someone to keep it full while I was pumping the brakes but didn't. Did finally get it..but that was only the front. For the back I bought that cheap bleeder and had my wife keep the master full while I pumped it through. Much better. Took all of 5 minutes to do both sides.
