2018 800 first service
« on: June 20, 2018, 11:30:21 AM »
what exactly does the dealer do on first service or should I just change the oil myself and hit all the zerks with a grease gun?

on that note has anyone else had trouble getting the grease gun on some of the grease points like the hose tip just cant get in there? maybe should change some of these for 45 degree grease points? I cant even get the top rear swing arm bushing as the rim is somewhat in the way, just need another 1mm of room.

anything else to look at for first service?

The owner's manual outlines what is to be done on the first service I believe...do all the dealers to all of it..can't say but you can do it all yourself as long as you keep good records for warranty purposes...at least that's what my dealer told me. Things like engine oil and filter, both diffs changed, check coolant and brake fluids, check critical component mounting bolt torques, maybe check valve lash (I do/would), clean or replace air filter as needed, check and clean prefilters on engine intake and CVT intake, check shifter alignment, tire pressure and lug torque...ect.
