Is this a breather hose that needs to be and can be extended? I do ride through water that may get to that level.

Transmission breather. You can extend it. I have a closed expanding grommet at the end of that hose so no need to extend it.

Looks like the hose that tells if the water pump seal is leaking colant. Won't hurt to extend it but don't think many people do that.

Follow it. If it goes under where the water pump is, its the weep tube.
