Today I replaced both front and rear fenders.  Both were cracked in a mild tip over.  Not really a tip over, slid into a deep rut on snow and it tipped onto it's side against the dirt on the other side of the rut.  Not completely on it's side but enough that two tires were in the air and I had to use the winch to get it back on all four.  I was a little disappointed that both fenders cracked.  My previous experience with Polaris and Kawasaki the fenders would have flexed and not cracked.  Oh well, stuff happens.  I will say it isn't a quick job.  All that's left now is to re-mount the fender flares (holes in the fender are not pre-drilled) and put a clear bra film on them as I have also found that the paint scratches pretty easily on this.  I also mounted a couple of junction blocks for positive and negative to make jump starting, if ever necessary, a little easier since I normally have a front basket bolted to the front rack.  Photos of the machine without fenders. 

Got it all back together and the clear bra material installed.  This will be a lesson to take it a little easier on the trail.  Expensive and a lot of work.  On a positive note, it did make it easier to install the battery cables for the junction blocks and I was able to get the plastic around the gear shift to fit properly (it never has since new). The rear box is easily removed for re-installing the second seat.
