Sometimes when I put the quad in low gear it rattles and clanks and snatches before going. It sounds like gear teeth slipping.

Any advice appreciated

I would make sure the shift linkage is adjusted correctly.

We have one unit under 500km low gear won`t gear in. It only makes a nasty sound. We check the linkage even tried to force the rod with the hand to get in low range but no luck. We tried also with low rpms still no luck. Any ideas before we start disassembly ?? Thanks.

Remove the linkage completely and try it just with the arm on the transmission. If it still won't you probably have a bent shifter fork in the transmission...probably from someone trying to shift it into low while still moving.
