4WD and diff lock not engaging
« on: August 06, 2016, 04:43:02 AM »
Hi all, My CF is not engaging 4WD or the diff lock, when you press the switches you can here the electrics operate at the F/Diff and the dash lights up showing its in 4WD and diff lock, but it still only operates in 2WD any one else had this?

People have had this problem. Try removing the actuator from the front diff. While it's out try the switch and see if it is moving. If it doesn't than you might just need a new one. If it moves than you may have a mechanical problem. There is a tread on this. A search will find it. Most of the cfmotos use the same actuator so the info will apply.

Yes you can. looks like it's the shift fork part # 0180-315000. Please make sure this is correct though. They are not expensive, but you can get a discount from the vendors here on the forum if you like.

Yes have seen it there Price for part is fine $31.20, but looking at another $62.00 US for freight to NZ for a very small part. Seems a bit too high as I recently had a Wooden Gun stock sent from the States for less than that. May try a NZ Dealer tomorrow to see how it compares.

Local is the way to go if you can.  Didn't realize how far away you were, sorry. At least you have the part number, and that will speed things up when you call for parts.
