I recently purchased the 2016 CF 500 H.O and have been very pleased for the most part, but the mileage just drastically seems to get worse. Tried premium v.s. regular gas, not any noticeable difference. It has never seemed to be very good but I get anywhere from 35 - 40 miles per tank. Thought it was nearly a 5 gallon tank.? Well, you can do the math, that's pretty sad. I understand it's a high output motor,... but higher mileage was expected. I had the service done after the 200 mile break in. Dealer told me they haven't heard of such an issue, but maybe valves need to be adjusted. any comment or input would be appreciated,  thanks, dago D

Welcome. I am no 500 expert but I do believe most here are getting mid-upper 20 MPG so with a 5-gallong tank you should be getting well over 100 miles per tank. To get 35-40 out of 5 gallons would be so rich...it really shouldn't run.. so look for a leak or something dumping fuel if it is running OK.

My 2013 (carburettor) gets 100+ Kms to a tank. I would be looking for a leak somewhere.

I would say based on the 240 km I've ridden mine it wound get about 100-110 km to a tank

I have the cforce 800 and average 20 miles per gallon. I have a 6 gallon tank so that would be around 120 miles or 200 Klms per tank on average.

  Well thanks for the replies guys, its very strange. No visible leaks, or smelling fuel anywhere, and doesn't appear its common e org others here. I did read before buying it, that the 500 ho didn't have great mileage, but this is pathetic in my eyes, but as I mentioned, other than that, I've been very happy with it. Still open for suggestions if any others have similar issues thanks again

Mine has shitty mileage as well. But I know part of the issue is the fuel gauge is off!
