Third Position on Ignition Switch

Hey, have any of you got an idea what the third position on the ignition switch on a 2015 CFMoto CForce 550 is used for?

I asked my dealer and they think it's because in some countries they turn right to turn off. Does not seem to draw power like an accessory position. The owners manual shows it in the pictures but not mention of its function. Would be interesting what international manuals says.

There are no international manuals. Only one manual is produced by CFmoto , with some countries starting to make their own to clean up the mess coming out of the factory.

If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.

As far as I tested the third position is, if you want to keep any lights on BUT dont want the engine running all the time, then you turn the key to the third position and turn ON the lights you want. BUT if you want to have the lights ON or OFF while engine is running then you have that second ignintion position :-)

So the third position as far as my ATV is for the lights without the engine running. :-)

Interesting...I am driving distance from you and my Uforce came with the turn signals, 4 way hazard flashing lights and a horn. None of this is required for travelling from point A to B on the side of the road. They are not considered to be 100% street legal machines here in Canada.

Your machine came from CFMOTO Canada though, right... I think Canada is a different country regardless of "how close" it is to the US ;-)
