I had posted this in the CForce 500 section but thought it is possible that the CForce 500H.O/550 might have the same issue.  The issue was the engine on my machine (500s) would not start unless the transmission was in neutral.  To make a long story short I contacted CFMoto USA and got the following back.

QuoteWe have a warranty bulletin out for this issue. You can bring it into your dealer and have them perform the bulletin and then you will be able to start the machine in gear if you have the brake on.
