I had a similar problem in the summer with the EFI light.
It turned out to be some type of Valve in the cooling system, is your quad getting hot really quickly? Is the fan coming on? My fan didn't come on until the dealer fixed it for me... the cooling system just wasn't functioning how it should due to that valve apparently. I drove something like 500km with that problem, wasn't really bothered to do anything. But I had to stop if my coolant temp. gauge got to 8 bars
for a few minutes and let the quad cool down. It got there really quick if I wasn't going fast and blowing air into the radiator. I'm lucky the dealer didn't have problems with me doing that, but said not to ride it for that long with any type of problem in the future. Another sign I had with that problem was when I removed the left cover of the engine I had a lot of coolant sprayed all over that cover and it was coming from a small tube which was there and was full of my green coolant, it wasn't leaking or something just the end of the tube was there like it disconnected from something. After the service I can't find that tube
