Hi All,
I live in Minnesota and bought a 2016 CFORCE 500 HO and commented on Kencar's post. I am starting a new one in hopes to see if there is anyone in the US that is experiencing this sudden drop off in RPM below 4000 RPM. I have uploaded some videos of my issue on YouTube. I will list three of the four I posted. The fourth can be found on my channel but it is a comparison between my Polaris 570 and my CFORCE 500.
I quit on my first dealer because we just did not mix well together. I brought it to another CFMOTO dealer that just became a CFMOTO dealer in January 2016. They are in a large ranch and agriculture area in a neighboring state that is pretty close to where I live. They have close to every brand available. They are a much larger dealer than the first one I bought the unit from.
I brought the unit three weeks ago to them and they have worked on it a good solid week and have given up on it. I have read reports from owners in Canada that the dealers there were aware of the issue and have had success in fixing the herky jerky drivability issue.
I am picking it up tomorrow and bringing it back home. It has been to the trails of the Black Hills this year and was new in late April. 300 miles on it. It has never changed. Very hard to ride on the trails or when I herd livestock.

I can't accept that this is normal operation. Does anyone from CFMOTO China scan these posts?
I need help that CFMOTO USA has not provided.

I am picking it up tomorrow from the dealer. They did not replace anything but tried adjusting the throttle angle to no improvement.
CFMOTO China, CFMOTO Canada...can you help??

Bad part or setting? They did not replace the TPS just adjusted it to quite a few angles and did not solve the problem.

As I understand it there is an internal problem so replacement was necessary. Has to be a way of testing these though.

I just bought the 500ho also had 90 miles on it and was having the same problems with trying to maintain a constant 5 mph, it kept cutting in and out. Took it to my dealer for its first service and they ended up replacing the ECU and the ignition switch. Problem solved.

The TPS on this one is non replaceable. You have to replace the throttle body. and no they checked it on the scan tool and it doesn't drop or spike as they move it.

Are you in the US? I think I am going to leave it there and have them start replacing parts on CFMOTO's dime. There is way more than coincidence that this problem has been reported by so many.

I would say if the TPS was showing smooth changes with no dead spots when they hooked it up to the PDA, than I think it is good and there must be a problem elsewhere. I'm in MN also. Have you tried Besser's. They are the largest around and seem to know CFM well.

I have not. I have been in touch with the CFMOTO Head tech guy in Plymouth, MN for help and the dealer that I have it at now. Selling dealer and I did not have good chemistry. I have to leave it at the current dealer I have it at and walk away from it. I can't afford to keep hauling it from place to place.

Would it be possible for you to give me the name and phone number of your dealer and maybe a service ref # so I could have a talk with him? Did you see my videos that I have listed in this thread? The only issue I was having and it is a big one with herding livestock and trail riding is trying to hold a constant speed under 4000 RPMs. Fuel seems to be cut under that speed on deceleration. Even on a slow acceleration it is impossible to hold a constant smooth RPM or ground speed below 4000 RPM. I mentioned your fix to the dealer and they did not see what that had to do with my problem. But when it comes to these computer controlled vehicles strange explainable things happen.

Copied from another post under "oil in air filter box" but it fits this post better. I asked CFMOTO HQ in Plymouth MN to please come up with a fix for this inability to hold steady speeds under 4000 RPM. I can't even hold a steady RPM under 4000 in neutral. That should take the excuse of it's your clutch setup that you need to get used to. I have Engine Braking Systems on two other Polaris Sportsman models that will slide the tires on loose gravel or wet grass like this CFORCE does when you slow down. That is one thing. I understand how that is supposed to feel like. This inability to feather the throttle to hold a constant RPM or speed drives me crazy.
It soulds like they have addressed this issue with success in every country on the planet except for the USA. I am beginning to believe they have such a lean fuel curve to please EPA that there is no more fuel delivered to the cylinder at 3900 RPM than there is at 1750 RPM where is idles at therefore it runs like crap between 1750 and 3900 RPM.
