I was casually cruising on my cf550 (current km:11,800km) at around the speeds of 55 to 70km/h when suddenly the whole cvt box exploded. I am fine but the insides of the box were not, both the primary clutch and the one to its left are completely destroyed (the primary clutch was shattered to like 10 pieces). The cvt belt was also ripped apart although I changed it at around 8000 to 9000 km so it wasn't installed recently. Any reasons for something like that to occur?

Sorry to hear that. Some people are experiencing Primary clutch failures on newer ones with far less miles/Km's on them. Partly due to inferior Chinese metallurgy and partly due to a balancing problem....and that mostly comes from uneven movement of their flyweights, especially once the tracks get packed with dust & dirt. The primary clutch does spin at the same speed as the crankshaft. Once a fatigue crack starts...its just a matter of time before it comes apart.
