Hello,

I am considering jumping up to this tire size  26x9x12 and 26x11x12. Does anyone know if I will have rubbing problems or performance issues as my machine is stock? Also, the tires I am considering are Kenda Bear Claw HTR's.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Depending on what it came with...and I don't see that listed anywhere (probably 25") you can usually go 2 sizes up with no rubbing issues. However even replacing the stock tires with the same size aftermarket tire will be a 10-20% weight gain most often and that...will always be felt in loss of power. Couple that with an actual dimension increase and the rotational mass increase will be felt. That's just the way it is- it take power to move mass, either around in a circle or in a straight line. The more there is....the more power it takes. Fortunately you can get some..not all..back with reclocking. And the Kenda Bear Claw HTR is a very good and trusted tire.

NMKawierider, thank you for your input. I don't know much about the "reclocking" you mentioned can you elaborate? You were correct about my stock size, 25's...sorry I didn't mention that in my post. I don't do much aggressive riding with my ATV I just thought
a bigger tire size would look better and I was getting a good deal on the Kendals.

In the How-Tos, there's a post on clutching. It has videos. Yours is slightly different but the secondary is about the same.

I have 27x9 on the front and 27x11 on the back of mine and have zero issues with rubbing.
