What airfilter do you recomend for a cf moto 500s/520 oem or aftermarket ?

Mosse airfilters are they good ?

Frankly from our experience any aftermarket air filter is better then any CFM OE filter however some aren't much better. Over here we all trust and recommend Unifilter filters. Have no experience with the Mosse airfilters but I'm sure there are reviews on the web for them.

What are the "problems" with original airfilter ? Do they let in dust or does they not let thru enough air ?

Most are letting dust get by...20 microns and smaller. Killing engines slowly. Better do it soon.

hope i haven't done to much damage to my engine, I almoust have 20000 km on it now. Have changed the airfilter before. My riding conditions are not so dusty exept dry gravel roads and dry dirt/sand tracks in the forest.

20-thousand km? That's 12,427 miles...which is far more miles then anyone has ever put on any CF Moto to my knowledge. I'd say keep doing what you are doing.

do you oil you foam filter before putting it on ?

The 2 filters am currently locking at are moose racing filter and a uni filter Both looks like foam filter all the way thrue. Not like original with a removable foam around the outside and paper under the foam.

All foam filters must be oiled before installing as you need to work the oil through it completely, then let dry. The foam cover on the OE paper filter is just a prefilter and does not get oiled...otherwise it will wick into the paper part. If you can get the UniFilter for yours there, get it and a quality foam filter oil and cleaner.

All the 500s take the same filter as the 800s so the same Uni will work- UP6229-ST
