I went ahead and ordered the OEM Mitsuboshi belt from Aliexpress.  Took a few weeks to get here, but at $125 (which included shipping)  I prefer the peace of mind of the OEM belt.  Belt size is 36.8 x 969.

Oh, and I'm somewhat sad to say that she's going up for sale soon.  Picked up the R-max over the weekend.  The Z-force has been a great machine for me, though.  No complaints.

Congrats on the RMax. Quite a big step. I'm looking at the RMax4 1000 XT-R The cost has me on hold at the moment. Maybe a nice used one will come up sometime soon...lol :)

I was holding out hope for a used one as well, but I just don't see it happening right now.  They are HARD to find.  I really like the Rmax 4.  That's a sharp 4 seater.  I got the 2 seater since its mostly just me.  I will caution you that they are loud in the cab.  Gonna have to figure out a fix for that.  Lot of horse-ponies though!

Wow what a beast! That 66" width would make it impractical for me though, so many of our mining tracks and back country mountain trails are not more than quad width.

Thought I read 64"..which is only 4-more then an EX. But the cost of a new one has me on hold right now anyway. Besides, no where to ride it here anyway. Everything is closed. My trail's been unused sense last October...just collecting dust in the shop. That's 9 months now. Think I'll wash it tomorrow. :)

Yep, it's 64".  Just a bit wider than the Zforce, but it is a beast.  Filled up my 6.5' x 10' trailer bringing it home.  Plus it came with 30's.  Has a whopping 18" ground clearance.  It's nice.  I just sit and stare at it.  haha!  Still love the Zforce, but gotta get her cleaned up and on the market to help pay for this monstrosity.

Sorry about your riding situation.  That's a huge bummer.  Cops here are cracking down a bit on us as well, but I think the SxS movement is going to last.

Went to replace the belt, and yup, she was about done!  So, got about 4800 miles on the original.  It was making a chirping noise sometimes at take off, so I guess this explains that.

The Mitsuboshi belt is a bit different, so I wonder if my OEM belt was a Bando.  I also have the Gates carbon belt as a back up.

Dumb question, but should the belt go clockwise?  Arrows on the belt point towards the rear of the machine?

The arrows always point toward the direction of rotation.

The arrows always point toward the direction of rotation.

So it will only spin to the left, or counter-clockwise.  Right?

No matter what side a CVT primary is on, running, it will always pull on the belt from the top. You are always safe placing the arrows on top between the two clutches and always pointing them toward the primary. For us being on the left, looking at it straight-on, it rotates clockwise and the arrows on top do point back.

You can always just start the engine to see which way it rotates...or just bump the starter.

Belt is on, vehicle drives smooth.  No more chirp.  Also cured what I thought was a drive-line noise.  Must have been that tear in the belt.  All is right with the world again.
