No but its pretty straight forward. TDC Compression stroke on any given cylinder, set all valves on that cylinder per the manual, then do the other.

Cant remember if the screws are slotted or square. If square, take a deck screw(squ drive) and screw it into a wood dowel, the head makes a good adjusting tool. Check out vids on youtube of how to do other twins. It will give you a good idea. Download the manual if you haven't yet.

That's one heck of an idea cosmosdan. Never heard that one, it's excellent. :)

How much stuff has to come off to do the valve adjustment?  Also, how are you rotating the engine?  Thanks!

Oh, great idea on the deck screw.

I take the engine cover off inside the bed for the rear and the center plastics off inside the cab for the front. The best way to rotate the engine is with both plugs out, take off the cover for the fan on the passenger - side of the engine and use the fan or nut being careful. You actually have between about 1/2 way up on the compression stroke to about 1/2 way down on the power stroke to set the valves. It's just that TDC on the compression stroke is about the center point.

Got this done last night, too.  Since I had the CVT over off, spun the motor over that way.  Even with the plugs out, the motor doesn't turn over real easily.  I just followed the lines on the cam sprocket to make sure at TDC, and then struck a screwdriver down the spark plug hole to make sure the piston was at top.  Hard to get the feeler gauge in there.  Front cylinder was pretty tight, rear cylinder a little closer to spec.

Yeah I have checked mine three times in the last 1200 miles..had to adjust them at 200 miles then at the 500 mile check didn't really need to but did it anyway. Then at last one at 900 they were still where I set them previously so I left them alone. I firmly believe they should be at least checked and set at or before 500 miles then at least checked every 800-1000 miles thereafter.

It cranks over kinda hard now, so I wonder if 1; I've got a lot more compression now, and 2; my battery is getting weak.  Seems to run ok, but only ran it for a couple minutes.  May need to put her back on the tender and then see how it acts.

May be either or a combination of both. Try the tender over night... or however long it takes to get topped off.
