Two brothers exhaust on trail model.
« on: June 08, 2016, 10:58:58 PM »
Well I got myself into a pickle lol looking to get some advise and thoughts ?  When installing my two brothers exhaust I did not keep in mind that they were made for the wider ex model not the trail. The pipe fit perfect just on the right side the pipe is really close to the tire do to my shorter arms I have two options that I think might help maybe 1.5 inch spacers or take it and get it cut and welded ? But I'm sure it will rub on my tire the rear right when it's flexed here is a pic. Any advise would be awesome.

Well... I guess you need to know how far the wheel needs to move out to miss it. If 2"s will give you an extra 1/2", you have it made with a set of 2" spacers. I wouldn't go any wider then that with spacers. Could also have a shop take an inch or so off that loop.

I would shorten the pipe rather than spacers.

Yeah I would sure try and shorten the pipe as much as I could first and if necessary, keep the spacers to 1.5 or less. I think someone has a set for sale here somewhere too for 50-bucks as I recall.

I was hoping they'd still be available for a few more months so that when I do go to buy, I can pick up those spacers immediately and get them on my ride. Only issue I had was whether they were the correct ones, which you clued us into in the other thread. If they get bought up, I'll just pay full price for a new set.

Bam!! All done lol sucked haveing to cut the pipe but made it work. So before I cut I did call two brothers and they told me don't know if this is correct or what? ( that if I cut it I would not lose any performance or sound) I'm going to do a sound video so you guys out there with these 2bros can tell me if there's any difference. Now I have plenty of room and please excuse the welds still learning. But I'm currently working on wrapping my whole exhaust so no biggie no one will see them hey they don't leak lol. Here is a few pics what you guys think?
