Tire size recommend?
« on: November 15, 2021, 10:26:25 PM »
So Iv read all the forum on this subject and sorry for adding another, but didn’t get a good answer. Mines a 2017 800 ex and I’m looking to upgrade tire sizes. I’m think 29s. Can I get by without Reclocking the clutch? I don’t ride fast and do mostly causel riding.

Note:I’m looking to upgrade the clutch later, just wanting to see if I don’t have to immediately change the setting after getting bigger tires.

Thanks again everyone.

You can do it without re-clocking. It will just be more gutless and sluggish above take-off...which will "inspire" you to do that re-clocking just to get some..not all..of that power back. After you change tire sizes be even more mindful about being in low range when needed. The wet clutch will slip for a longer range because of the added load. Re-clocking will have little effect on it's operation.
