Hey guys I have a 17' zforce 800 trail. I just changed my belt last week and cleaned my clutches. Made sure both clutches were torqued to 85 lbs before putting everything back together. I test drove it around the lake where I live for about 5 kms. And then went for a ride this weekend, keeping in mind breaking in the belt. At about 40km into my ride my belt blew and when I got home and opened up my clutch case the plastic components of my primary were melted into all the grooves. Any ideas why this might have happened? I was running a brand new Carlisle belt but I'm not sure why it would have been that hot in there especially since I was taking it easy trying to break in the belt?. I think my primary is now beyond saving. I'm just outside my 1 yr bumper to bumper warranty, could the primary be covered under powertrain?
