Just pulled the trigger on a zforce 800 trial, now looking to order some skid plates as I ride in rocky condtions. Just wondering if anybody has any recommendations or if you have tried the cfmoto brand skid plates? Thanks in advanced
There are several out there including Ricochet and Iron Baltic. Both are great but...Iron Baltic has the best..IMO. But they don't make a full set for the ZForce 500 and 800 trails, just the EX which has the longer a-arms. Check with Ricochet they might.
Ricochet does make a complete set for the trail. I also like that you can buy it in sections rather than having to get the whole thing at once. The outer plates under the doors are around $360 for the set I think. Main center skid is 4 and change and the a arm plate set is about $200. It all adds up to just a little bit more than buying the complete set for about $900 or so. I have the side set on now, ( most important in my opinion as cfmoto has failed to put anything there at all really and plan to replace the factory one when it fails.
