Very easy. The toughest part is taking all the cover bolts out. Two of those where the alignment dowels are longer then the rest. Take one of those and screw it into the one of two holes near the center of the secondary clutch. Only one is threaded so if it won't start with your fingers, go to the other one. Screw it almost all the way in. That will separate the secondary sheaves making the belt easy to remove. Be sure to install the new in the correct direction.

NMK have you had to replace the OEM belt? If so which did you go with?

I remember if being discussed on another thread (which I saved the belts model numbers) but I'm just curious if you've tried one, and would you recommend it.

Not yet. I only have 500 miles on it and when I did the clutch work about 150 ago, it was still like new and showing no measureable wear yet. I don't much like the cost of an OEM belt so I too would be curious as to the durability of another brand. Historically though, the OEMs are the best...in most all other manufacturers.

I went with a gates belt when I replaced mine. Much nicer belt IMO.
