The # on the old reservoir is PF 1000 - 4000N 12 Way Adjustable

The # on the new reservoir is PY 1000 - 2000N 12 Way Adjustable.

Not sure if this is a part number or not.  to me the  1000 - 2000N is a weight range.

Thanks,
flipper

Here's a pic of the ones I just got

What are the date stamps on the shocks.  They are located right below the top mounting hole.  Also, did you crank them down that way or did they come that way.

Can't understand how these are a redesign with a new part number when my date stamps are 20150624.  My original shocks are 20141121.   The only differance I see is the rating.  What rating are on yours?  the number on the canister.

Thanks,

flipper

The 2016 Z800EX EPS I am considering buying has the 2 spring setup on it still. CF Moto should go ahead and issue a TSB or recall and pull the defective shocks off of the floor units.

And I do agree, that it is a great thing there is a proper fix for this known issue. The failing shocks were a sore thumb to me when it comes to deciding on a purchase. Like another poster said here, they are fine working shocks, and a great selling point being fully adjustable. Making it hard to stomach having to replace them WHEN they fail, not if.

My new ones came in today, and they are installing them tomorrow. I'm going to call tomorrow and see if it's the 2 spring or single spring set up. I do know the dealer said that the reservoir is positioned a lil further out.

Whats the word? Single spring new style or the same as before?

Thats great! So are all four of your shocks the new design now?

I really have high hopes for this brand, and hearing updates like this makes all the difference.

Front ones are the stock ones. No problem there. Just now all four will be a single spring design.

No.
There different springs. Progressive rate.
The shock on top of my pic is a front. Bottum is a rear.

Did you by chance get the part numbers for the new redesigned shocks when you received yours?

My front started to wear.  I am heading to the dealer tomorrow.  I am taking the shocks up so he can take pictures to  do a warranty claim.  Dealer said he does not know if they redesigned the shocks, but the p/n changed and he is surmising that they changed them.  My dealer is the same as Bezerk1.

See if you can post up the updated part numbers when you go in to have your buggy serviced please.

Will do!! I'll even ask for the packing slip from the box.
Or at least ask my dealer to post it. He's a member here as well.

No new shocks for me yet. Originals are still working... Oddly enough SATV's spring spacers helped separate the spring and resovoir enough to where it seems like they aren't rubbing anymore. I'll take a closer look at it later to be sure.

I recall the dual spring rears and whatever the stock shock springs were on the front of the 2016 Z Force 800EX EPS I looked at being about 1/4 away from the reserviors?

I just cant remember for sure....
