As many of you know Im racing my Z Force 800ex.  It did GREAT this weekend but thats not really the point of this post.  My shocks faded FAST. As in like 40 min of HARD running (and I can not over emphasize the word HARD) there was nothing there to dampen and the springs were riding several inches lower.  Now the lower springs may be due to the ~200lbs of mud that was on and in the rig....but the shocks were not doing their job anymore and the belly pan had because an important piece of the suspension system LOL. 

So on to my real question where I nee you help.  If anyone has a shock off I need the fully extended and fully collapsed lengths if you can please.  I am going to try to source some pretty soon.  I would LOVE to just call up Elka and order some stage 5 but that is just not in the budget right now with all the other things I have had to buy to get ready for race season.  Even if you guys dont have both numbers just one or the other would work for what Im doing.  Thank you in advance!

I hear-tell the RzR shocks are about right and maybe one can find some good used remotes on ebay.

Thats my thought right now.  I have some feelers out to some shock companies also to see if they may be interested in sponsorship with me.  The reality is I can get by with them....but they wont be long for this earth if I run them that hard very many times.  I can crank the spring rate down a bit to try to get it to hold it up more and not make the shock oil do as much work but it will get hot and give up at some point.  I can also slow down the compression and rebound to delay that inevitable shock fade...but it will eventually come back and at some point the seals fail and you just blow them out completely.  Also all of those things above I mentioned dont help me go faster (in general).  I have poked around a bit and even used xp900 shocks are $$$$$$$ and then their are not set up for MY buggy.  Im hoping to sort it out quickly as I know that right now that is what is keeping us from turning faster lap times.

Give Afco a call.  They deal with dirt track suspensions.  If I ever have to upgrade shocks that would be my first choice.  If your serious about racing I would not worry about any other upgrades.  Suspension should be your number one focus.

Hard choice to make, suspension is king on long hard off-road course.
Lots of brands out there, hopefully something ill come your way.
