Hi from italy,

Anyone had some problem like mine?

before starting my Z800 it's appeared a red light that always stays on (not blinking), it disappear after i start the engine.(it's the one at the right of the one with the "P" symbol)

It seems that the only difference compared to before that light appeared is that the z8 seem to have a less efficient start (like battery a little bit drain it's possibile?)

Thank you for your advice

The "MIL" light is the ECU systems fault indicator. If it flashed, there is a problem. Being on without the engine running is normal as the system isn't getting all the sensor inputs like RPM. It should go out after starting. As for hard starting, that may be something to take it in for as these normally start fast and easy. There are some reported battery problems.

If the lights go out once it is started you don't have any faults. If you have a slow crank or longer crank as NMK said you may have a battery getting a bit low, throw it on a trickle charger and see if it changes and holds a good charge. These do tend to get finicky about starting when they don't have a good strong battery.  Or maybe it's your mind playing tricks on you because you saw the light and thought something was wrong =)
