So am i. I have no problems until I got the CFM half windshield which the top crease is right in my eye view. Anyway, I thought I saw someplace that people where putting 2x4's under the seat some how

I had the same problem myself with the CFM 1/2 windshield I bought with the machine. I put some 1.5" square tubing between the seat and mount that helped but it soon became obvious that the 1/2 windshield was destined for the storage shed because it quickly became too hard to see through. Pure junk in those days. A waste of 250 bucks. I bought the SATV flip which has a 1/4 at the bottom so I was able to take the risers out. I also made some adjustment to the seat that allowed me to slide it back farther then the factory slots allowed which helped straighten the legs out some.

This post shows how I raised the seat in my 2022 machine. I ended up cutting the top adjustment slots off the front brackets, dropped front down to 2", no updated photos.

I sat in a 2023 800 trail, I could barely see over the steering wheel. I would possibly need a 4" rear, 3 1/2" front seat lift in the gen 2. The 2023 seat leans WAY too far back for me, even worse than my 2022 was before brackets installed. The brackets I used offer great height adjustment options

Decided to go with a 2 inch lift.  Used two 1 1/2 x 2 inch sections of  rectangular tubing for the base.
Removed the drivers seat by taking out 4 bolts holding it in. Bolts in front were easy to get to, but removed the backrest to make it easier getting the back bolts out.
Used 4 3 inch  M8 x1.25 bolt to mount the seat back in. 
Will see how I like it on my next ride.

Rasing the seat 2" sure did make a difference.  Now I can see a lot better over the hood than I did before.  Going to stop in at my dealer to schedule the 200 mile serice ($$$$). Will ask if they have any idea how to fix the major issue with no parking brake.  Using a wedge between the steering wheel and foot brake is a pain-in-the-ass.
