SO I'm making this snorkel out of PVC. Ya, its ugly but once painted and finished, it will be much better. My question is, does anyone see any issues with running it directly from the airbox as I have?
Any input would be great

as long as it's sealed it should be good, I don't see why it would be an issue

I use the OE airbox and a Unifilter in it as well as another Unifilter in an inline filter on the snorkel/stack. No reason not to have layers of protection unless there is something wrong with the lid, box or seal surfaces of the OE box. I also use a rim grease on that seal which is just a filter grease. No issues. Protect that engine..by any means necessary.

My son did about the same thing but added snorkel for the clutch housing and his work just as well as mine. The only difference is about 300.00 bucks he saved by doing his himself. My excuse I'm an old man "77" and he's a young un. Great job ,hope it does well for you!😀  Wayne

Can you post up pics so I can see if I am able to do the same?  As you said, protect the engine...by any means necessary.

Everything I did is in the How Tos with pics and vids. There are quite a few versions to my intake upgrades over the years though. The end result was from the need to have two filters and the intake less in the dust cloud. :)
