Need some honest input
« on: February 24, 2018, 09:55:25 PM »
Ok I have a 17 zforce 800ex I went to the uni filter as soon as i got it home then went to the B2 setting on clutch not really much difference.i read some possible clutch spring issues I got another spring have not put it on yet but getting ready to.my questions is I am thinking of doing a slip on and programmer.is it going to be worth it? I am hoping the spring may show some improvement with clocking because in my opinion it wasn't really worth my time.i just don't want to spend 600 or more on silencer and programmer and be like wow not worth it..I know its not going to be like turbo 1000 but am I going to feel like I spent the money for more noise and no power increase..don't get get me wrong if it comes with good seat of the pants feel noise is not an issue where I ride so let's hear some goods and bad..thank you..

I can't speak for the rest of it but the B2 setting should have made an awesome difference. Apparently the clocking wasn't correct somehow.

I'm going to agree on the B2 setting, it should work however the picture is larger than that. Tuning the secondary clutch to get the engine into the power band is wrong, keeping it in the power band is the job of the secondary clutch.

I've a fuel box & a loud muffler that I took off due to lack of performance. It was sold as a performance kit that was supposed to be plug & play. I will probably go back to the fuel box as a stand alone with a wide band AFR, put the thing on the dyno & see if it can be improved. My inside voice says the fuel curve is probably to lean, so improvement is likely to be had..........if not a safer running motor  :)

Yeah I am hoping I may have a spring issue that i read on here at one time.i am going to install it and see.so you feel the ejk programmer by itself should give some gaines?

B2 would be a much more noticeable change that a slip on and programmer. Slip on and programmer would not be worth it IMO. That's the reason I haven't don't it, plus I don't want it louder.

I have put 2 new video of my ZForce 800 with the race kit installed. Night and day from stock...

Just put on YouTube (i don’t know how to put it here)

- ZForce 800 race kit accélération
- ZForce 800 race kit ride

You can see how much faster the ZForce was and also how strong is the engine braking.
You can judge by yourself...

Wet Clutch delete
CVTech Trail block
Two Brothers exhaust
Power Commander 5 with Autotune
Honda TRX450r front shocks
ELKA Stage 5 rear shocks

Mud fender
3" wheels spacer

I changed the exhaust tip to a 2" with a mandrel bend and sandwiched-in an HMF spark arrester. That gave me..a a little more mid range and a lot more noise...but I mostly did it so I could put silencer on it for the wife...and long back country rides so we could talk..lol. It didn't add any extra low or mid range..but being one for an 850cc JD, it also didn't take anything away. I'd say its a little quieter then it was with the stock end...not by much, but your ears don't hurt after a day's ride and you can talk to your passenger easy enough. Getting where I don't take it off much anymore.  It's all in the How-Tos.

I have put the -6 dB on my two brothers and it is ok for trail riding.
Without the -6 db baffle the Two Brothers exhaust is too loud

Also, the PowerCommander with autotune add 5 to 10% more fuel when I put the Two Brother in place of the stock exhaust. Thats a good sign of more power. I don’t know how much more power but combined with the wet clutch delete the gain is very nice. Not the same machine anymore.

Me i prefer the sound of a good exhaust over the sound of the CVT and clunking noise...

If you put de -6db baffle on the Two Brothers exhaust the sound is not too loud for me.

I know my style of driving don’t represent the majority.
I have the gas pedal to the floors 90% of the time and I have work really hard to extract 100% of the stock engine and to put each hp to the ground.

For 90% of the ZForce owner the stock exhaust is ok but I am sure everyone will see big improvements when riding with the wet clutch delete kit except if you ride often below 5 km/h. It’s smoother and no more weird noise from the clutch.

I would never install a wet clutch delete/belt slammer conversion, personally. I value the advantages of the wet clutch system far too much to ever install something inferior in the way of fine control and engine braking.  8)
