Wanted to do a cage chop for some time. The roof is ridiculously high. I went with a 7 1/2 inch chop. Had to cut the roof and heat it to get it to form to the chop. Still have to cut the ends. Eventually, I'll be doing an extension over the box. It'll look like a hatchback. Going with a steel roof then.

Cut above the joint, and angled it back about 3/4 inch.

Got it. Thanks. I know some just egg the holes enough to flex enough on a 5" chop.. but I always thought that was wrong...and yours..on a 7.5".. still looked straight

There's a write-up in the how-tos on a 5" chop that doesn't require any change to the front mounts by Chad. I might just do it but I need a better welder first.

Yeah...machine...lol. Thin Chinese metal and an old Lincoln stick welder won't get along very well.

Yea that welder would turn your Z into a pile of slagg. Lol
