Did you ever get this resolved?

No, I can drive around it by stepping harder on the gas when pulling away but I'm not 100% satisfied with that, she doesn't do it when she's cold it's only when she up to temp that it happens.

I'm going to try the clutch next, change it to the b2 setting and see how that goes.

Can you have someone video it when it's doing it so we can see it?

I will sort out a video when I'm back off holiday in about a weeks time ;)

Mine occasionally does this, especially in reverse. It doesn't do it enough to be a problem. I hope an EJK might help.

Just a quick update, my jerking problem seems to be improving so at the moment I'm happy with how things are going.

I have found out I'm running her on too high octane fuel, which the manual says can cause the engine to run lean so the next tank of fuel will be the lower octane fuel, the recommended fuel is 93 the lowest I can get local to me is 95 so I'm going to try that and I will report the results.

Wow...the highest I can get here is 91 and it all has 10% ethanol added. Yeah I don't think it has the compression ratio to use anything above 93.

hi davidpaul i am having a similar problem, i to noticed in the manual about 93 and up and i ahve been running mine on 91 so i thought trying 95 could solve it also, my dealer said since my cam chains and tensioners were so worn out the timing was advanced quite abit and he thinks once the repairs are done that it will fix itself so i will keep you posted. if you notice a difference when you run 95 in yours can you please post your outcome on here as i will try that if its still the same when i get my machine back from the dealer cheers  :)

Without experiencing it personally it would be hard to guess what it is but it sounds more and more like a wet clutch problem. There have been a few with spring problems with the shoes. Also, what oil are you running in the engine?

She's been working well over the last 200 miles, I'm thinking it's more to do with the engine cutting out at low speed which is making the wet clutch engage and disengage.
I'm going to try again to video her in action, the last time I tried she was working fine.
I've just changed the oil with Silkolene super 4 10w 40.

Silkolene super 4 10w 40 is a simi-synthetic oil and has listed to be OK with immersed motorcycle clutches which are disk-type with spring compression. Wet clutches use centrifugal force against a bell to generate it's friction and most often have a problem with synthetic oils. There are however some that specifically say they are OK with wet clutches such as one of the Castrols. Are you very sure this oil is compatible with your wet clutch? It should state it on the container somewhere.

I didn't consider that at all, the oil was left over from when I serviced my bike, what oil would you recommend ?

I would stay away from any synthetic or blend that doesn't specifically state it's approved for use with wet clutches. Even then I would hesitate. Always OK with what the manual recommends and that's usually a conventional oil with specific ratings

I just happen to use this Castrol oil in mine. 10/40 in the summer and 5/30 in the winter. I still have the 5/30 in mine and will probably leave it a little longer as it only has less then 100 miles on it and the next real ride is in the cool high mountains.

Does yours run ok with the gtx oil ? (as it's shown over here as part synthetic) I'm looking at the 15w40 GTX which is the grade my manual recommends. I'm going to change it tomorrow and see what happens, I will let you know how I get on.

The 03094 GTX is conventional and does not come in a 15/?? grade. It only comes in:  5W-20, 5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40 and 20W-50. The only one I see that comes in a 15/40 in the GTX Diesel which is also listed as a conventional oil. Although some like to run a diesel oil in their gas engines, I just prefer not to.

Maybe what you get over these is different. Take a look at other brands you may have there like Motul. Looks like many use it:

And double-check the oil you have. It may actually be fine for wet clutches after all.

What about this one, says it's particularly good for wet clutches, I want to change the oil because what you are saying make's sense and considering I have also (with good intention) added a friction reducer to the oil  :-[

Meets the specs in the manual so it should be fine. It is mineral oil though...not that its a bad thing.
