Idle kicking up
« on: September 14, 2016, 02:01:53 PM »
Last weekend on the trail the zforce would randomly idle up up and hold about 2200-2300 rpm. I've searched around and can't really find a good answer as to why.
What I've done so far:
Pulled the MAF, air flow, and TPS sensors and cleaned them
Pulled and cleaned the throttle body and Y pipe
Cleaned and re-oiled the air fliter
After re assembly, I ran the machine and spayed starting fluid on all the seams through the intake, did not get any kick up so I'm sure I have no leaks.
The throttle pedal doesn't seem to be sticking and looks like it's all in adjustment.
Last night while test running the machine to test brakes, it started doing it again.
Any ideas? Thank you.

Currently a 2016 Can-Am Maverick XC dps. My first love but we've parted ways: 2016 cfmoto zforce 800ex eps black and teal with black wheels. Uni filter. Homemade intake snorkel. Homemade belly skid rails.

The only other thing that comes to mind after all the things you did would be either the TPS or CPS is bad or maybe the throttle cable is set to tightly so that when the frame is flexed, its pulls on it opening the butterfly slightly. There is adjustments on the cable at both ends. Back one off a turn and see. There is also a throttle peddle stop that may have something to do with it.
